Overview
The TECH4 Sustainability website was developed to present Porto Digital’s initiative focused on promoting sustainable urban development through research, technology, and community-driven projects. The goal was to create a clear, structured, and modern digital experience that communicates the initiative’s values while aligning visually with Porto Digital’s identity.
My Role
As part of the Soochy implementation team, my contribution to this project focused entirely on the development phase. Working closely with my colleagues, I helped translate the provided design into a fully functional WordPress website using the WPBakery editor. My primary responsibility was the creation and programming of the main hero banner, which required a custom-built slider developed with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
This custom implementation allowed for smooth transitions, responsive behavior, and a visual impact that matched the desired tone of the initiative. I ensured that the component behaved consistently across devices, performed optimally, and maintained visual fidelity with the approved design. Throughout the implementation, I collaborated with the team to integrate components, adjust layout structures, and fine-tune styling details so that the final site accurately reflected the intended design and user experience.
